Frequently asked questions

Short answers for procurement, security and blasting teams.

Who can buy detonators from Monolith Trade Group?

Only companies and agencies that hold a current explosives permit from their national authority, such as mines, quarries, licensed distributors and government buyers.

Which permits are needed to import detonators?

An import permit from your country's explosives authority for each shipment, plus an end-user certificate. Examples: Defensa (SEDENA) in Mexico, SUCAMEC in Peru, DGMN in Chile, ATF in the United States. The manufacturer obtains the export approval.

Electronic or non-electric detonators?

Electronic detonators have programmable delays for precise timing, better fragmentation and lower vibration. Non-electric shock-tube detonators use fixed delay series and are simpler and lower cost. Many operations use both.

How does payment work?

You contract with and pay the manufacturer directly, by bank transfer or letter of credit, against the manufacturer's invoice. We never ask for payment to a personal or third-party account.

Which countries do you supply?

Any country where importing commercial explosives is legally permitted, for licensed buyers. We don't supply sanctioned parties or embargoed destinations.

How long does delivery take?

It depends on permits and shipping route. The import permit and export approval usually take longest; each quotation states the expected lead time.

What comes with a quotation?

Technical data sheets, safety data sheets (SDS), UN transport classification, manufacturer certificates and an authorization letter naming Monolith Trade Group.

Have a tender or a requirement?

Send quantities and specs. We'll come back with an estimate, then a formal quotation once your permit is verified.
